MATERIAL HANDLER 2ND SHIFT

Summary
Polymer Molding, Inc. is seeking a 2nd Shift Material Handler as we continue to grow and expand our business. The Material Handler is responsible for handling, storing, and blending raw material and colorant as conveyed in the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Handle, identify, and store incoming raw material, incoming colorant, incoming product containers, and any other items related to the manufacturing area.
- Blending of raw materials and colorant at the proper ratio along with identification and storage of blended material.
- Insure all hoppers and feeders at the molding presses contain the proper material (blended and unblended as required).
- Insure all hoppers and feeders are filled at the proper levels at determined times during the shift.
- Change the hoppers to the correct material and color during a mold change.
- Properly empty and clean grinders when needed.
Cleaning of molding presses during mold changeovers along with overall plant cleanliness. - Material handling of full and empty production pallets.
OTHER DUTIES
- Assist in relief breaks for fellow employees.
- Assist fellow employees when the need arises.
- Assist the shift supervisor or assistant supervisor when needed.
- Perform any other duties as directed by the Director of Manufacturing or upper management personnel.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required:
- Use of hand and power tow trucks to transport materials
- Ability to safely operate a forklift/jitney.
- Basic processing skills
- Basic weigh-up skills
- Able to provide problem solving ideas to shift supervisors
- Working knowledge of materials
- Basic knowledge of ISO9001:2000 standard and procedures
